Round 1 of the 2010 Fujitsu Development Series is almost upon us, and with preparations nearing completion for Nick Percat and his teamfor 2010, JAY Motorsport, they headed to Winton Victoria for the season opening test day.

Conditions for the test day were fantastic, with clear blue skies, and temperatures in the mid to high 20's...however the track had seen a large amount of rain the night before making it slightly changeable as the rubber went down.

With Percat having his first official test for the 2010 season in car number 222, showing his factory links with the Walkinshaw Racing factory and the Holden Racing Team.

"It was great to be back in a race car, as it seems a long time since I won the Formula Ford championship in 2009 already!"

"I ran through a full program of running on very used tyres, and the car performed faultlessly out of the box after its major rebuild in the off season, so full credit to Keith Rennie and the boys for doing such a good job" said Nick.

"As has been the case for a while now, I have been really working on my fitness and it showed today with my consistency and speed over a race distance. The feedback from the team was rather positive with my lap times right in the ballpark too"

"I'm looking forward to racing on my home town track in Adelaide, as I have been pretty fast in all the other categories I have been there in, so I will be doing my best to start the season well at the Clipsal500!" added Percat.

Nick Percat is still chasing sponsors for the 2010 season, and currently has openings for any interested parties for the Clipsal 500 and future events.
